The guys showed up over 3 hours late. We were promised that 2 crews would be sent over to help the move go faster and we would not get charged for the extra crew or the drive time. When they finally got to our first location one of the guys was mouthy with my husband. We had a table top that we needed to throw out but we were going to keep the base. My husband's direction was completely ignored and both pieces were thrown out. (We did not realize this until the next day. The move was not finished until after 8 pm and we were so exhausted we did not have time that night to check everything over.) When we realized that the table base was gone, we had to go by our old place. Luckily, the base was still sitting out by the garbage.
Every person that I worked with from Two Men and a Truck was extremely professional. Each part of the move went smoothly. I recommend them to anyone in need of moving services.
This is especially true because we tried to contact the owner and asked him to call us. He would not, and instead passed it off to his office staff. We have a business as well. If we make a mistake, we speak directly with our customers and own the mistake. We do whatever is necessary to make it right. Apparently the owner of Two Men and a Truck does not believe that it is necessary to address the concerns of his customers.
As I said before, we were told there would be no charge for the drive time because they were so late getting to us. When one of the movers was going over the final total, he indicated that we were being charged for drive time. At this point I told him what the office had said about not being charged and he responded, "Well, I wish they would have told us that." I refused to pay for the drive time and the man agreed.
Great experience moving across town. The guys were punctual and took great care in padding and wrapping my belongs and were very efficient at loading and unloading everything. I'd definitely use Two Men and a Truck again!
The second crew of guys only helped in moving things out of our old place. We had furniture at our warehouse that also needed to be moved and they did not show up for that or for moving everything in to our new place. I do have to say that the two guys that were left worked very hard. Unfortunately, the whole process took far longer than it should have.
They came & have price for the job. Worked with us easily to change what we were actually going to move and changed fees accordingly. The two movers came exactly when they said they would. They were quick, courteous, strong but careful, and very thorough. Packed entire truck in a few hours. We moved about 450 miles away, but same two guys who packed the furniture, drove the truck to new home, and then delivered the furniture the very next morning. Super easy to work with. They usually aren't the cheapest, but since we have a long narrow winding driveway and semi sized moving vans cannot enter, those companies would have had to shuttle all our belongings and move them all a second unnecessary time....which made their price very competitive.
The only reason I'm giving more than one star is because the actual "movers" were amazing..... I called 2 men and a truck because I know people who have used them previously..... in other states. In the beginning when I called they had me walk through the house and tell them everything in each room. I did one better, I also told them the weight of our load as we literally had just moved up here from out of state 2 months before and told them it took 6 -7 guys 6 hours to load..... they estimated 6 hours and I thought all was well until only TWO MEN AND A TRUCK showed up.... literally TWO MEN!! I told the woman on the phone we had a lot of VERY HEAVY ITEMS.... very heavy furniture! Once the guys arrived they literally called the office ALL DAY for help as the woman at the office told them we only had 65 items!! SIXTY FIVE! They left these 2 guys all alone to do this HUGE JOB all alone! And why not? They only pay these guys like 10-11 bucks an hour and they charged me $118 AN HOUR! So they screwed us over ON PURPOUSE so they could make roughly $100 an hour profit...... FOR NOTHING OTHER THAN OVER WORKING THESE GUYS!!!! ITS RIDICULOUS!! These two busted their butts for TWELVE HOURS! And didn't finish! We sent them home because we felt bad.... we then rented a uhaul for the weekend and finished ourselves!! I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THESE GUYS..... EVER.... total scam! TOTAL RIP OFF! Then they text me and ask for a review?? Well..... HERE YA GO! I was being nice and not leaving one.... but if ya want me to leave one it will be an honest one.... the company DESERVES ZERO STARS! PERIOD. But the actual movers, were amazing, funny , hard working, beyond polite despite what they had in front of them..... SHAME ON THIS COMPANY FOR HOW THEY DO THIS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE! TOTAL SCAM AND RIPOFF!
Unfortunately, this is the second experience I have had with Two Men and a Truck where the movers were very, very late. I am a reasonable person and I understand that things come up. Now that the same thing has happened again, and in addition that our furniture was lost and/or damaged, one of the movers was mouthy and disrespectful, and that they were going to charge us for something they promised not to charge us for, we will not be using Two Men and a Truck again.
Also, during the move, my husband had asked that our leather couch be wrapped to protect it from damage. The guys ignored his request and now we have large scratches which are very visible on the backrest.
