Great park! Great place to camp, especially if your not trying to ruff it too much. Showers could be better, get messy on holiday weekends, but i have seen worse, but they do get a hosing down once a day. It really is a beautiful park. Good hiking, canoes to rent, fishing, etc. One of our regular spots.

I come camping here with the kids and they absolutely love it. It's such a nice park, with great camp sites. The pads have electricity and water, with toilets nearby. If you wanna get out of the house for the weekend, bring the family here and thank me later!

This is a wonderful place to take your kid/kids for a hike bikeride or fishing or to just play. You can bring your dog for a walk just make sure you pick up after him/her. This is a state park so no concealed carry is allowed here and no alcohol is allowed either. Camping here is fun if you can get a spot by the water. They also have stores for bait and food. Renting a boat/canoe was reasonably priced. Overall it is a very nice place to go.

Calming to jog around the lake. Just under 10 miles for 2 laps. Boat rentals and fantastic scenery during season changes. Great for all seasons. Awesome place to meditate, and accommodate pet owners with a dog park area. Camping fishing and outdoor grilling options. Euestrian trails are also available. Massive place to explore. Great for reunions. Swimming a hit or miss depending on year.

A great gem nestled in along the State Line in Northern IL that most locals seem to know little about. A nice no-wake lake with decent fishing surrounded by numerous very nice trails, most easy for walking, biking and CC Skiing. A restaurant / bait shop / rental shop is located along the southern shore at the boat ramp The campground is very nice and located on the northern shore of the lake. It has ample spacing and very good greenery between most sights, with some being closer with little between them for those that prefer that sort of "coziness". The park and campground fill up during holiday weekends, but is mostly underutilized most of the rest of the year. Give it a try!
